The position is assigned to the Systems Support Group, Office of the Controller (CTOC-SSG) within the Controller’s Department (CTL). The unit is tasked with implementing IT initiatives, overseeing CTL’s overall IT projects, and ensuring the IT projects are carried out effectively.

Job Purpose
The Financial Control Analyst (IT Automation Developer) provides technical, analytical and coordination support for the design and implementation of the Department’s digital transformation initiatives such as robotics process automation, new IT systems and enhancement of existing IT systems; administers implementation tests for IT system developments/improvements and other process improvements initiatives such as automation of financial reports and CTL business processes and workflows; ensures that work objectives are accomplished in a timely and effective manner.
The incumbent will report to the designated International Staff and/or senior National Staff.
Responsibilities
• Participates in systems and application development using various platforms to enhance, simplify, and change business processes in coordination with other departments/offices concerned, conducting user acceptance tests, and preparing for the data conversion. Diagnoses systems failures and breakdowns and takes appropriate corrective and preventive action.
• Analyzes business processes to suggest process improvements and develops Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other automation solutions around them.
• Designs, builds, and configures applications utilizing automation tools to meet business process requirements.
• Supports existing automations/processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured changed control process.
• Learns and utilizes new technologies and how they integrate with relevant applications.
• Functions as integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs.
• Provides technical support to the internal and external users of the systems for loans and grants, and coordinates with concerned business areas to resolve the issue.
• Develops and enhances the automation of financial reports, business processes and workflows.
• Generates regular reports on the performance of automation initiatives and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent’s work plan.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field, Business Administration major in Accounting, Economics, or Finance with in-depth knowledge of Information Technology and computer applications.
• At least 5 years of combined work experience in application and systems development, IT project management, service management automation, development and enhancement of bots, data and information management, business data analytics, data mart, big data, and business processes. Experience in finance operations would be an advantage.
• Proficient in automation software used in multilateral institutions, particularly Automation Anywhere RPA, ServiceNow, PowerBI, Office 365.
• Experience with developing bots used mainly for financial business processes and reports.
• Good understanding of various automation components and features available in Automation Anywhere RPA Product.
• Familiarity with multilateral development bank loan, grant, technical assistance business processes and IT systems preferred.
• Effective report-writing and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams as constructive team members.
• Ability to plan and coordinate schedules and meet deadlines.

General Considerations
The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.
