Transcript

For 30 years, ADB and Kazakhstan have worked together to promote the country’s economic development and improve people’s quality of life.

Since 1994, ADB has invested over $6.8 billion in more than 40 public and private sector projects, helping to transform the country into a leading upper-middle income economy in Asia.

ADB has helped Kazakhstan build infrastructure, develop the financial sector, reduce social inequalities, and support private sector development.

More than 2,000 km of roads were built and upgraded to help boost trade and regional connectivity.

Over 65,000 people in rural areas got access to safe drinking water.

More than 40,000 micro, small and medium sized enterprises flourished.

Over 3,200 women, mainly living in provinces, acquired their own housing.

More than 150,000 tons of annual carbon emissions avoided with the construction of renewable power plants.

Critical, demand-driven, and tailored knowledge solutions were provided in areas such as regional development, public audit, and venture capital financing.

These were achieved through a collaborative partnership with the government, private sector, civil society, and many other stakeholders.

We aim to support Kazakhstan in realizing its vision of an inclusive and sustainable modern economy.

ADB will continue to help build a brighter and more prosperous future for the people of Kazakhstan.
