ADBI-ADB Asian Climate Finance Dialogue

The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), launched a new initiative to promote policy actions by governments, financial regulators, and central banks to facilitate the understanding of climate-related information disclosure and to scale-up climate finance while ensuring financial sustainability.
As the climate bank for Asia and the Pacific, ADB is committed to playing a pivotal role in mobilizing private capital to help economies boost climate finance, achieve the Paris Agreement goals, and respond to the climate emergency. The Asian Climate Finance Dialogue strives to put targets back on track by narrowing financing gaps that curtail progress toward carbon neutrality.
This ADBI-ADB joint project provides a platform for information sharing between regulators involved in climate finance through a series of roundtables and capacity-building workshops. The platform includes key information, such as the implementation of the International Sustainability Standards Board standards, Scope 3 emission disclosure, climate stress testing, climate scenarios, taxonomies, and others. More information related to the platform can be found below.
Project Objectives
- Raise awareness of the importance of climate-related information disclosure and promote appropriate policy actions by governments and financial regulators to scale-up climate finance while ensuring financial stability.
- Stimulate policy dialogue on these topics.
- Share information on countries’ practices through a data portal.
