TSCFP works to make global trade and supply chains green, resilient, inclusive, transparent, and socially responsible.
The COVID-19 pandemic transformed the global conversation about trade and supply chains, which has led to an important inflection point. The international community now recognizes the imperative to expand thinking about trade and supply chains to see them as important elements in solving global challenges such as climate change, social responsibility, and resiliency. And so does ADB’s TSCFP. While it remains important to close market gaps for trade finance, to support the economic growth, jobs, and development that come from trade, TSCFP’s mandate is to make global trade and supply chains green, resilient, inclusive, transparent, and socially responsible. This website provides insight into how, through a combination of transactions (guarantees and loans) as well as knowledge initiatives and solutions, TSCFP is tackling this ambitious mandate along with its with partners, in each component area of its mandate.
TSCFP is a program of ADB's Private Sector Operations Department.
How does ADB's TF Program work and what role does it play in boosting economic growth in Asia and the Pacific?
How does ADB's SCF Program bring finance to the region's small and medium enterprises?
ADB's Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program empowers countries to meet the Sustainable Development Goals by closing market gaps through guarantees, loans, and knowledge products. Since 2009, the TSCFP has supported $57 billion in trade across 45,510 transactions (60% SME-related).

ADB’s Trade Finance Program conducted a gender audit among several of its partner banks. The objective of this study was to develop specific, practical, and implementable recommendations to attract, retain and promote more women in banking. This was a joint initiative of ADB's Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department and Private Sector Operations Department funded by the Government of Australia.
TSCFP focuses on building the knowledge and capacity among its partner banks in ADB’s developing member countries by sharing vital information through thought leadership, providing internationally-recognized trainings and online courses, facilitating avenues for peer discussions and information sharing, and leading industry reforms.
There are increasingly critical requirements for supply chains to demonstrate compliance with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability standards and regulation. This ESG Services Directory provides links to expertise, solutions, and other resources, to help navigate the complex topics and issues around ESG. The Directory is a first step in accessing help with ESG requirements, including identifying specialists in advisory, audit, tracing, tracking due diligence, policy and regulation, technology, and other key areas.
Trade has never been more critical for economic growth, jobs, and to ensure medical equipment, food, and other vital goods get to where they are needed. ADB boosted its capacity to support trade and supply chains with more money and flexibility for its $2.4 billion TSCFP.
A new tool that maps the entire supply chain for 34 critical pandemic-fighting goods (e.g. ventilators, N95 masks, etc); helping banks, investors, and governments ensure companies have no bottlenecks and financial support is there to ramp up supply.
