Urban Financing Partnership Facility Mid-Year Report: January to June 2023

From January to June 2023, Urban Financing Partnership Facility (UFPF) assistance resulted in the approval of three new technical assistance projects, one additional financing, and a direct charge. These amounted to $9.225 million in UFPF financing support.
This report highlights the addition of the Urban Resilience Trust Fund (URTF) to UFPF. It also presents progress of UFPF's trust funds—the Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund (UCCRTF), the Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA) Trust Fund, the ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund (AASCTF), and the Urban Environmental Infrastructure Fund (UEIF).
From January to June 2023, UFPF recorded a donor commitment of $260.74 million, which saw an increase due to the inclusion of the commitment of the Government of the United Kingdom to the URTF.
Total commitments to the UFPF slightly rose by 3% to $156.37 million as of 30 June 2023 from $151.39 million on 31 December 2022. Project disbursements showed an increase of about 11% to $118.78 million as of 30 June 2023 from $106.59 million on 31 December 2022. UCCRTF continues to hold the largest share of the facility amount.
