Netherlands Trust Fund under the Water Financing Partnership Facility

What is the fund?

The Netherlands Trust Fund under the Water Financing Partnership Facility was established in December 2006. The objective of the fund is to support the implementation of the ADB’s Water Financing Program.

What are the priorities?

The priorities of this fund are closely in line with the facility. Its resources finance direct project support and program quality support.

What kinds of activities are eligible for the fund?

The facility finances activities designed to result in significantly more people in the Asia and Pacific region with access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation, higher productivity and efficiency of irrigation and drainage services, more people with reduced risk of flooding, and more river basins implementing integrated water resources management. Detailed activities are closely in line with the facility.

Who is eligible to receive the fund?

All ADB developing member countries are eligible to receive support from the fund.

Who supports the fund?

Netherlands supports the fund.
