Enhancing ADB’s presence in Canada and the United States from Washington, DC
ADB is undertaking USA roadshows in to conduct small focus groups with contractors & suppliers who have either bid on ADB projects before or are interested in bidding on them in the future.
ADB and the governments of Australia and Papua New Guinea today commissioned the Alotau Wharf as part of the cofinanced Building Resilience to Climate Change in Papua New Guinea project, which has upgraded Alotau Wharf to improve safety and make it less vulnerable to climate change.

Canada has contributed $7.39 billion in capital subscription to ADB as of 31 December 2022. It has also contributed and committed $2.21 billion to ADB’s Special Funds since becoming a member.
The United States has contributed $22.05 billion in capital subscription to ADB as of 31 December 2022. It has also contributed and committed $4.85 billion to Special Funds since becoming a member.
