Pakistan is a founding member of ADB. ADB has been helping the country reduce poverty and increase resilience and prosperity by supporting investments in key sectors and services. ADB operations remain aligned to Pakistan’s evolving economic and development priorities.
ADB’s country partnership strategy, 2021–2025, for Pakistan focuses on three priorities—improving economic management, building resilience, and boosting competitiveness and private sector development.

Forecasts are based on ADB's flagship publication, the Asian Development Outlook. Updated four times a year, it analyzes economic and development issues in developing countries in Asia and the Pacific.
Development indicators for Pakistan, including a selection of economic, environmental, and social indicators used globally to track progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
Results achieved are aggregate amounts of outputs and outcomes from operations reported in project completion reports and extended annual review reports circulated for the year.
Cofinancing operations enable ADB’s financing partners, governments or their agencies, multilateral financing institutions, and commercial organizations to participate in financing ADB projects.

The Pakistan Resident Mission was opened in 1989 and provides the primary operational link for activities between ADB and the government, the private sector, civil society stakeholders, and development partners. The resident mission engages in policy dialogue, country partnership strategy development and programming, and portfolio management, while also acting as a knowledge base on development issues in Pakistan.
The Pakistan government agency handling ADB affairs is the Economic Affairs Division (Ministry of Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization).
